Just because you are previously disadvantaged (of course your lot is not anywhere close to better now) does not mean that you should fall for any scheme that promises you overnight wealth without brel aking a sweat. Many people are ruing the day they committed their hard earned funds to ‘investments’ like the following:
- A high yielding venture whose managers cannot explain how and where the money will be invested. Clue: It could be a Ponzi scheme that nvolves paying new members as ‘profit’. It will only be a matter of time before it collapses.
- Being offered shares in a company that you barely know its operations or shareholders. Clue: the owners could be in desperate need of BEE partner to qualify for big government tender. You will be a ‘partner’ for convenience.
- A big advance payout whose amount is unbelievable in exchange for a signature as a director of a company. Clue: the company needs you to get government favours.
