Tendering convenience


Linking up with potential suppliers will no longer be a hassle for tender invitation issuers. GetBiz, an e-procurement company that specialises in advertising tenders, has launched a real-time service that tender issuers countrywide can use to upload invitations and applicants can access and submit bids and proposals through the convenience of a cellphone, computer or any other device that has an internet connection.
CEO Andile Ntingi,says GetBiz has been working on the just researching the concept for over five years. “Accessing tender information is not as easy as people think. If you can come up with a platform that can allow anyone to bid from their home or their office, you’ve done half the job.”
The Treasury will be implementing an e-procurement tendering platform to replace the tendering system. Ntingi says, with its skills. GetBiz will certainly bid for the work.
The company’s founders are former business journalists who decided to become entrepreneurs. Its team is made of people with diverse skills in information technology, sales and marketing, graphic design, media and general business.
