A GUIDING LIGHT

How did you start your journey as a psychic and spiritual practitioner?

Growing up, I was often told I have psychic abilities, but I didn’t take it seriously – until a palm reader told me I have strong psychic gifts that I should develop. That moment was a turning point. In 2016, I began immersing myself in palmistry, tarot, psychic development and mediumship classes. I trained intensively for several years, right through to early 2020, and I absolutely loved it.

I also briefly worked on psychic hotlines, gaining experience and confidence. At one point, someone encouraged me to join their social media platform and offer free readings. The response was overwhelmingly positive. I then began offering palm and tarot readings at the Rosebank Market in Johannesburg. I really enjoyed connecting with people and seeing the impact of my work.

What does a tarot reading involve?

A tarot reading uses a deck of 78 symbolic cards. Tarot is used as a form of divination, a way to connect with spirit guides and tune into the energies surrounding your life.

In a reading, I use the cards to tap into your energy and the situations you’re facing, whether it’s around love, work, finances, or personal growth. The cards don’t predict a fixed future, but rather reveal the energies and possibilities around a situation, allowing you to make more informed and aligned decisions.

Tarot can be especially helpful during times of uncertainty or when someone feels stuck. A good reading can bring emotional relief, spiritual support, a sense of calm and greater clarity about what steps to take next.

What does a palm reading involve?

Palmistry is the ancient art of reading the lines, shapes, and features of the hands, especially the palms, to gain insight into a person’s personality, life path and potential. A palm reading involves looking at key lines like the heart line, head line, and life line as well as the shape of the hand and the mounts (fleshy areas).

Each part of the hand tells a different story. For example, the heart line speaks to your emotional nature and relationships, while the head line shows how you think and process the world. The life line shows your vitality and approach to life.

The benefits of a palm reading are deep self-understanding and confirmation of your natural strengths, challenges and tendencies. It can give you a clearer sense of your purpose and the cycles you’re currently moving through.

How many clients do you see a week?

I usually work with 2 to 3 clients a day, five days a week.

What are your views on diversity and inclusion?

My work blends tools and wisdom from multiple traditions: Western tarot, Eastern palmistry, and African spiritual practices like ritual bathing, steaming, and working with sacred ingredients. I honour the richness of different spiritual systems.

I also work with clients from different cultures, backgrounds, sexualities, genders and belief systems.
