China Homelife and Machinex Trade Expo 2022 launched at Gallagher
Convention Centre after a three-year break on Tuesday. Africa’s largest China sourcing
event saw large numbers of visitors in the early hours of the morning ready to close deals
with Chinese suppliers.
From sourcing managers and entrepreneurs to supply chain officers and importers all racing
to seize the opportunity to interact with approved quality China machine suppliers and
manufacturers. Following the COVID-19 break it was a breath of fresh air to see the venue
abuzz with
“The market was disturbed by COVID-19 but we are happy with the turnout. It is the first time
in two years that the suppliers and the buyers meet so we are looking forward to the
interaction. We are using technology to optimise the interaction between the suppliers in
China and the buyers in South Africa. We have employed youth in South Africa to assist with
the facilitation while we have people in China in standby and this works for both sides” says
COO of Meorient Binu Pillai.
China Home Life is organized annually in thirteen cities across the world – Sao Paulo,
Istanbul, Dubai, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Cairo, Amman, Warsaw, Mexico, Lagos, Nairobi,
Tehran, and Almaty.
The event brings together significant players from major industries and enables visitors to
view large numbers of products to evaluate, compare, see demonstrations, and ask detailed
questions. The trade fair provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of the entire China
sourcing process.
China Home Life South Africa is a platform for leading Chinese companies seeking to do

Together with the Machinex China home life is Africa’s largest exhibition in the African
continent. Over the years, the event has welcomed visitors not only from South Africa but

The 2022 edition of China Home Life will feature over 400 suppliers showing over 7500+
products. The focus for this year’s edition will be Automotive parts and components.
Although entry is free for all business visitor, China Home Life recommends pre-registering
for fast-track entry and avoiding long queues.
