Power giant demonstrates marine prowess at International Boat Show

Cummins has showcased it’s durable and reliable marine products at the show for the past 17 years and can be found at stand M10 this year. Offering a complete line of variable speed and fixed speed engine solutions designed specifically for the challenges of recreational marine applications and commercial fishing, the products ensure durable, dependable productivity and smooth sailing.  Products on display include the Main Propulsion QSB6.7 301HP 2600RPM marine engine, a Cummins Onan marine genset MDKDV 19kW and the 6B-CP C marine genset; state-of-the-art maritime products powered by proven legacies in challenging nautical conditions. The Main Propulsion QSB6.7 301HP 2600RPM engine propels a quiet operation, with an 80% noise reduction at idle, one of the many benefits from the common rail fuel system. Enhanced sociability from the high-pressure system, which virtually eliminates smoke and improves the whole boating experience whilst maximising vessel performance and enjoying access to comprehensive vessel diagnostic information via options C Command Connect or SmartCraft electronics, is another specialised feature of the QSB6.7. Built in the UK and USA, this engine provides peace of mind delivered by the Cummins Captain’s briefing and global service network. The Cummins Onan generator is highly regarded as one of the most technologically advanced marine gensets, affording user-friendly diagnostics which include extensive engine and alternator information and backup from the largest worldwide certified Distributor and dealer network in the industry. It also offers an optimised mounting system which greatly reduces vibration and electronic frequency control. Supported by almost a centenary of marine expertise, the Onan marine generator sets are emissions certified to USA Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions standards. The Cummins world-class Marine Genset 6B-CP C diesel engine, also on display at the stand, matches industry leading Cummins alternators and are designed, integrated and assembled for optimal efficiency and performance. Engineered for the tough demands of the marine environment and sporting superior durability and high uptime requirements with simplified vessel integration and less complex mechanical connections, these engines are available with multi-station alarm and monitoring panels via a local digital network to match application requirements. Integrated alarm systems can be configured to communicate with a ship’s central data system. A flexible configuration is available to customise the generator set to the vessel’s operation requirements and comes complete with a comprehensive globally acknowledged warranty. Various Cummins Fleetguard Filtration products including Valvoline Oil, which protect the smooth workings of the engine and enhance extended engine life, will also be exhibited at the stand.
