Black-owned construction company pursuing opportunities in Tanzania

Deltron Consulting Chief Executive Officer, Chris Ndlovu, explains that the main aim for taking part in the Department of Trade and Industry’s (the dti) upcoming Outward Selling and Investment Mission (OSIM) to Tanzania, is to look for opportunities that will enable his company to export its services or enter into joint ventures with prospective Tanzanian partners.

Deltron Consulting is a Gauteng-based 100% black-owned multidisciplinary engineering, procurement and construction management company with a national footprint and experience that spans throughout Africa, Europe and the Americas.

The company will form part of a 25 member strong business delegation that will be led to Tanzania on a mission to strengthen the already existing cordial relations existing between the South Africa and Tanzania to take part in the OSIM, set to take place from 27 June – 8 July 2016.

Ndlovu outlines that Deltron has recorded a substantial increase of its presence locally throughout the years which has seen it secure projects for major parastatals like Transnet, Eskom and major private companies like Anglo American to mention a few.

“Opportunities presented by this Outward Selling and Investment Mission appeal to our vision of aspiring to be a global benchmark service provider that will make an impact in Africa and beyond. We do look forward to learning about the corporate culture and ways of doing business that exist in Tanzania. We will also take advantage of all the exchanges that we will form part of and pursue any prospective leads we may come across,” says Ndlovu.

The upcoming OSIM is aligned to government’s Strategic Outcome-Oriented Goal of building mutually-beneficial regional and global relations to advance South Africa’s trade, industrial policy and economic development objectives.

Recently a South African wine company that participated in a trade mission that was organised and funded by the dti to Russia, signed a multi-million rand deal to start shipping over 60,000 bottles of wines
