The ANC has announced the appointment of Zwelibanzi Mntambo as the new chairman of SA Tourism.
In a statement the party said: “The ANC takes this opportunity to welcome him and also to extend our best wishes to the outgoing chairperson, Frank Kilbourn.”
The party was confident that Mntambo was the right person and would take the country’s tourism onto the next level as he had “vast” experience in the tourism industry and possessed strategic leadership and management skills.
“We are positive that he will ensure that South African Tourism achieves its mandate. We need a capable leader who is innovative and results-driven.”
“We congratulate Mr Zwelibanzi Mntambo and trust that he will guide the organisation to better serve the industry to ensure that this sector continues to grow.”
