Here to Help! A team of expertswill be providing a personalized service to customers for the City of Johannesburg’s Revenue Shared Services Department’s Open Day Campaign in Regions D and F, which will take place on 23 November 2013 from 9am to 3pm at the following venues:

 

 

Region D:

 

Noordgesig Community Centre, 10 Noordgesig Street, Noordgesig.

 

 

 

Region F

 

Queen Modjadji Hall, cnr Rosettenville and Marlborough Roads, Wemmer Pan.

 

 

 

According to City Spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela, no two regions are identical. Each area has a unique profile and for this open day the focus for Region F will be query resolution; while region D will aim to register qualifying customers for various rebate options such as Pensioner Rates Rebates and the City’s Expanded Social Package.

 

 

 

“However, all services will be available to customers at both venues. On the day, expert agents from City Power, Johannesburg Water, Rates and Taxes, Finance and more will be on hand to sort out all account related queries, with the hope of immediate resolution,” said Mr. Maphologela.

 

 

 

The City continues to roll-out its Open Day strategy and believes that it is yielding positive results and the first-hand experience of speaking directly to aggrieved customers has given the City invaluable insights into customer expectations.

 

 

 

Customers are reminded to bring along the following documentation:

 

 

 

For General Account Queries:

 

Municipal Account or Account Number

For Pensioner Rebate Application:

 

Certified copy of your South African ID

 

Certified copy of your Pension card

 

Proof of income

 

Bank statement

 

Proof of ownership of the property

 

 

 

For Expanded social Package Applications:

 

South African Identity Document

 

City of Johannesburg Rates and Taxes Account

 

City Power Account /prepaid meter card or meter number

 

Eskom Account /prepaid electricity card or meter number

 

Johannesburg water account

 

Applicants can register without an account number for Social Service Interventions, but should have an affidavit from a police station or a letter from a Councillor as proof of residence.

 

Client monthly income must be below R4504.52 to qualify for the ESP.
