The beginning of spring couldn’t have come at a right time with former State President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela being discharged to his Houghton home yesterday Sunday 1 September having being admitted on Saturday 8 June for lung related complications.
He is said to be still critical and sometimes unstable.
The Presidency has thanked the nation, the doctors for the hard work to get Madiba well and well wishes from abroad. They thanked the media for being sensitive and said those who reported falsely were regarded as unfortunate.
Mandela’s daughter Makaziwe said they were happy to have uTata home eventually. “He is still critical, but we are happy to have him home,” she said.
Mandela’s grandson Mandla Mandela said this was day of celebration.
