More than a month ago, South Africa was in tenterhooks wondering who will take the business woman of the year award home. Well, its no longer a secret anymore who among the seven lovely ladies is the busiest of them all.
On a press conference held on the 26th of July 2012 in the Nedbank headquarters in JHB, Transform SA was fortunate enough to rub shoulders with the phenomenal finalists who gave moving speeches during the event. In the entrepreneur category, it was the lovely Johanna Mukoki of Travel with Flair, Pria Hassan CEO of Women of Africa Investments, and the stylish Margaret Hirsch (Chief operating officer) of Hirsch’s home stores. In the corporate category, it dawn Rowlands CEO of Agegis media SSA, Mapule Mphaki, MD of Aveng Manufacturing, Roberta Naidoo group MD for ABN group and Jacqueline Brown; Port manager of East London TNPA.
It was indeed a tough decision reached by the judging panel, which consisted of the likes of Philisiwe Buthelezi CEO of NEF, Siza Mzimela, CEO of South African Airways, Ipeleng Mkhari of Motseng properties and many more prominent business figures in South Africa.
The 28th of August 2012 revealed who is South Africa’s busiest of them all… drum-roll… none other than the witty Margaret Hirsch.
