The untimely loss of a vastly talented leader leaves a great void to be filled in any organisation. But life has to move on.
Business Connexion has decided that the best way to honour the late Leetile Benjamin Mophatlane, who died of a heart attack last month, is to continue with his legacy. It has informed its shareholders of the appointment of Isaac Mophatlane, current head of sales and marketing and executive of the Canoa division, as the new CEO with effect from August 1 2014.
Evidently, the appointment has calmed the nerves of shareholders who were concerned about how a leadership vacuum at the top would affect the stability of Business Connexion.
Isaac is a chip from the same block as his late twin brother. Not only does he bear an identical resemblance, but also shares an indefatigable commitment. That has made him the automatic choice for a replacement..
As co-founder of BCX. Isaac held various positions within the company over the past 18 years. Outstandingly, he provided leadership and direction in the Innovation division which houses BCX’s own software and packaged intellectual property prior to taking responsibility for the Canoa division which drives the group’s Managed Print Solutions offerings.
Praising Isaac’s capability, Chairperson Tony Ruiters, said: “He has demonstrated impeccable judgement, deep integrity and honour.”
